ABOUT ME
How IÂ Got Here
My name is Faye Heller, and I have dedicated over 30Â years to creating and teaching art.
At 16, I ventured from Cornwall, drawn to London's allure and the fanciful notion of tea with the queen.
I hold a fine art degree and a masters degree from The Slade in London. I spent three years in The Netherlands, where I embraced the creative life with a studio in Amsterdam's enchanting Vondelpark.
As a qualified teacher, I've collaborated with East Sussex CC, teaching a diverse array of fine art courses.
Currently, I teach my own short courses throughout West and East Sussex.
My approach is to create an atmosphere that nurtures and fosters artistic development. I am convinced that there's an artist in everyone, eager to manifest, and I am here to assist in discovering your unique artistic voice. With my dual expertise in both studio practice and classroom instruction, students benefit from a comprehensive learning experience. Portfolio tutoring and personalized one-on-one sessions are also available with advance booking. For more information on my courses, please reach out today.

'Faye’s classes are so inspiring.
I was very nervous and unsure before starting, but she is endlessly encouraging, supportive and probably most importantly, she’s a fun, skilled teacher. Highly recommended!’
